Dream Lottery
Dream soars as another prize home opens
$1.45 million Highland Green Estates Dream Home

London, Ont. – This past Spring Dream Lottery sold out early - before the Bonus Draw deadline. Stronger early sales plus the introduction of a membership feature, which acts much like a subscription, has this lottery far ahead of Spring sales, with almost 30 per cent sold in its first week. The record-hot sales elicited gratitude from the beneficiary hospital foundations.

"Thanksgiving weekend is upon us, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank our community for its amazing support of our hospitals," says Scott Fortnum, President and CEO, Children's Health Foundation

"The community's generosity has helped Dream Lottery raise almost $37 million (net) since 1996 for state-of-the-art technology, equipment, research and education," notes Keith Trussler, Board Chair, St Joseph's Health Care Foundation. London Health Sciences Health Foundation President and CEO John MacFarlane, added thanks to the lottery's builders, suppliers and retail partners, past and present, who he notes, "commit each and every time to make this lottery such a success, truly helping us put the Dream in Dream Lottery."

The foundation representatives were then joined by builder David Reis in cutting the ribbon to open the $1.45 million Highland Green Estates Dream Home which is located at 54 Edwin Drive, just west of the Highland Golf and Country Club.

Beautifully designed and exceptionally built by Reis Design + Build, with interior design by Jillian Summers of Upstaging and furnishings by Accents Home Furniture, the sprawling, single-storey home boasts 4,130 square feet of form and function that fuses old world and traditional exterior design elements with the modern amenities expected inside today's luxury homes; including the latest and greatest in smart home automation, designer finishes and custom millwork.

This home joins the Magnolia Refined Rustic Dream Home built by Wastell Homes that opened last week. The winner of the lottery's top prize can choose either home or $1 million in cash. Maps and open times to see the homes in person can be found at www.dreamitwinit.ca.

Tickets can be purchased at the dream homes, any of the participating hospital foundations, Shoppers Drug Mart locations in London and St. Thomas, by calling 519-488-7100, or online. London's largest 50/50 and a two-month Money & Memories Calendar are also available. Those tickets are also selling fast. The calendar lottery sold out early this past Spring and the 50/50 exceeded $1 million, with the winner taking half.

A Dream Lottery ticket must be purchased in order to buy into the 50/50 or calendar lottery. Money & Memories Calendars and 50/50 tickets can be ordered at all sales locations at the time of a Dream Lottery ticket purchase. After buying Dream Lottery tickets, they can only be purchased by phone at 519-488-7100.

All other lottery details, including ticket prices, prizes, important dates and contest rules, can also be found on the lottery's website.

Dream Lottery is a joint venture of St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation, London Health Sciences Foundation, and Children's Health Foundation. Together St. Joseph's Health Care London, London Health Sciences Centre and Children's Hospital at LHSC receive more than 1.9 million patient visits from across Southwestern Ontario and beyond each year. In addition to caring for London-area residents, the hospitals are referral centres providing specialized services in support of the excellent care of the region's community hospitals.
