"Ed used to be a farmer, now he's an entrepreneur … or is he a therapist, or does
he simply run a garage as the sign out front says?"
Next up in the 2019 Summer Season, celebrating uniquely made-in-Canada stories,
the Port Stanley Festival Theatre is delighted to bring "Ed's Garage" by Dan Needles
to the newly renovated Grace Auditorium. Running from July 24th, this four-hander
comedy will run for three weeks with a closing performance on August 10th.
Featuring audience favourites Jeff Culbert ("The Wildest Town in Canada: Donnelly
Songs and Stories", "The Drawer Boy", "Midnight Madness", "Buying the Farm"), Andy
Pogson ("Halfway There", "Five Alarm", "Calendar Girls"), Mark Crawford ("Stag and
Doe", "Bed and Breakfast", "The Birds and the Bees"), and Elana Post ("Perfect Wedding",
"Bedroom Stories", "The Melville Boys"), "Ed's Garage" is directed by guest director
Jane Spence ("The Birds and the Bees", "The Little Prince", "The Julius Caesar Project")
and Stage Managed by Cassidy Gallant, with Set Design by St Thomas's Eric Bunnell,
Lighting Design by Karen Crichton, and costumes by Alex Amini.
"From the social implications of the round hay bale to the realities of the modern
rural sensibility, this quirky comedy from the writer of the hit "Wingfield" series,
is sure to delight."
With a varied season, which will appeal to single ticket buyers, subscribers, and
tour groups alike, the Port Stanley Festival Theatre provides another season of
top quality entertainment in 2019.
