School Bus Charges Laid
December 6th, 2017 - Charges were laid yesterday in two separate incidents of drivers
disobeying red flashing school bus lights. The first incident happened during the
after school run on Burwell road and the second was at the same time nearby on South
Edgeware road. Both drivers reported that the bus was at a full stop with red lights
flashing, stop sign extended and crossing arm out. Students were disembarking at
the time of the offences. The bus drivers were able to record the licence plates
of the vehicles and both owners were issued a $490.00 fine and six demerit points.
There is no excuse for driving through a school bus. Drivers, slow down and pay
December 6th, 2017 - Police are looking for a fifty year old woman who is wanted
on a warrant. The woman is wanted for two counts of breach of recognizance and one
count of breach of probation. The offences occurred when she violated two separate
conditions on her release orders by failing to notify a change of address and attending
a prohibited residence.
