Theft, Assault and Warrant


February 14th, 2018 - A forty year old St. Thomas man was arrested on Locke Avenue Monday night around 11 p.m. after an alert citizen called police to report a suspicious male in and around parked vehicles. When officers caught up to a man matching the description given by the witness, it was discovered he was already on conditions with a curfew to be inside his home at night. Police searched the man and located stolen property and identification that could be traced back to a nearby home. The man was charged with one count of Breach of Undertaking for being out after curfew and one count of Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000. The accused was held in custody overnight for court in the morning.


A fifteen year old St. Thomas youth has been charged with one count of Assault as the result of an after school attack on another fifteen year old female. The victim was punched and pushed to the ground during the incident but did not suffer any injuries. The accused was arrested and released on a Promise To Appear in youth court.


A twenty seven year old St. Thomas man wanted on a warrant issued by STPS turned himself in to Sarnia Police last evening. The man was wanted for one count of Assault, one count of Theft Under $5000 and one count of Breach of Probation after an incident that took place in St. Thomas back on February 11th. The man fled the area shortly after. Sarnia Police took the man into custody and held him pending a transfer to St. Thomas. STPS Officers returned the accused to town in the early morning hours where he was held in custody for a court appearance.
