Driver Arrested Vehicle Impounded
December 4th, 2017 - Officers arrested a thirty eight year old unlicensed man yesterday
morning around 9 a.m. after he was seen driving down Talbot near Inkerman Street in
his car. Police were able to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle and take the
driver into custody. He was charged with two counts of Driving While Disqualified
and three counts of Driving While Suspended. The vehicle was towed from the scene
and impounded for forty five days. The driver was released from custody with a notice
to appear in court.
High End Grocery Theft
December 4th, 2017 - A forty eight year old female was arrested around 3 p.m. yesterday
by store security at the Real Canadian Superstore. The woman loaded a shopping cart
with five hundred dollars worth of high end items such as meat, chocolate and lobster
and then proceeded to leave the store without paying. St. Thomas Police Officers
arrived on scene and took the woman into custody. She is charged with Theft Under
$5000 and was released a short time later to appear in court later this month.
