Fanshawe invites prospective students to consider local options

St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus showcasing high-demand careers at two summer information sessions

St. Thomas, Ontario - On Wednesday, July 10, Fanshawe College will host the first of two summer program information sessions at the St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus. The sessions offer prospective students an opportunity to visit the St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus and learn more about the programs offered for the upcoming academic year, including programs with high-demand career prospects.

"The programs at our campus are designed to meet local labour needs and we're seeing an immediate demand in the region from companies who are ready to hire our graduates," explains Ross Fair, Associate Dean of the campus. "We are eager to help fill shortages in careers like precision metal cutting, advanced manufacturing, Personal Support Worker and Early Childhood Education, among others."

The campus will host an information session this week on Wednesday, July 10 and another next month on Wednesday, August 7. The sessions will run from 3 to 7 p.m. on both dates.

What: Program information sessions
When: Wednesday, July 10, 3-7 p.m.; Wednesday, August 7, 3-7 p.m.
Where: Fanshawe College St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus, 120 Bill Martyn Parkway

As an added incentive, the campus is offering to help cover application costs for attendees. If a prospective student applies for a St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus program in person at the information session, Fanshawe will pay the $95 application fee.
