YWCA helping Elgin County students feel their best

Elgin County, Ontario, March 18, 2019 - The YWCA St. Thomas-Elgin is pleased to announce that it will be hosting this year's annual Get Gorgeous for Grad event from April 1 to 4, 2019. This annual event is for Grade Eight and high school graduating students who find it financially difficult to find formal wear for local Graduation ceremonies.

"Everyone graduating should be proud of their accomplishment and this important milestone should be celebrated!" says Lindsay Rice, Director of Community Programming. "We have received some outstanding new pieces from local businesses in our community and are excited to present this opportunity to graduates in Elgin County." Special thank you to David's Bridal, Elle Couture, Juniper Dress Boutique, Joseph's Clothiers, Star Men's Shop and Nicholas & Elizabeth of London as well as Bliss Hair Salon, Cedarhurst Salon & Spa, Charles & Company, Dude's & Dads Barber Shop, Michelle & Sam's Hair Design, Opus Salon and Spa, Re-Treat Day Spa & Salon, Hush, Pamper Me, Spice Spa, The Hair Cellar and One Red Chair of St.Thomas for their donations.

Youth interested in participating in the Get Gorgeous for Grad are asked to call the YWCA 519-631-9800 to book a 30 minute one-to-one appointment with YWCA staff.
