"A duet of new works: "Meet My Sister" and "Giving up the Ghost" in free public
readings are included as part of PSFT's new expanded Playwright's Festival."
The Port Stanley Festival Theatre is pleased to be holding its seventh annual Playwright's
Festival on Friday September 14th and Saturday September 15th with public readings
of both "Meet My Sister" (September 14th, 8PM), a new three-hander comedy by Stratford's
Bonnie Green, and "Giving up the Ghost" (September 15th, 8PM), a new comedy, with
supernatural overtones, by Arlin Dixon and actor/director/playwright Matthew Gorman.
Following two days of rehearsal, both plays will be presented as public readings
followed by a question/answer session with the playwrights and invited audience
feedback, hosted by Artistic Director Simon Joynes.
The Port Stanley Playwright's Festival is part of the Port Stanley Festival Theatre's
new play development program, which has in the past produced premiere productions
of: "Not in My Backyard" in 2013, "Bingo Ladies" in 2014, "Birds of a Feather" and
"The Birds and the Bees" in 2016, "Five Alarm" in 2017, and "Buying the Farm" in
