Port Stanley News RSS Feed Letters Re: Nine to Five

January 10, 2019

Thanks for your editorial reminding readers that Prespa stands a better chance of approval for a their William St. development now that it's 5, rather than 9 storeys.

Not only is the proposed design not in keeping with the scale and character of the surrounding uses, we are concerned about the amount of asphalt and hard surfaces in the plan that will contribute to surface runoff during our many rainy days at Port.

We've experienced, first hand, that Port's limited sewer infrastructure and poor road grading is resulting in flooding on neighbouring streets. We hope the municipality takes a hard look at the ratio of building (including parking) to lot size to protect some of the natural landscape.
