April 9, 2010: Students will get a unique opportunity to watch their peers
perform live next week at the Thames Valley District School Board Dance Festival.
The 34th annual festival takes place April 12th - 16th in the Thames Room at the
Education Centre and will be streamed live over the internet.
Over 100 schools and approximately 6,000 dancers from all grades will participate
in the non competitive format to celebrate their enjoyment of dance. Secondary school
dance classes will also perform to show younger students that dance is offered at
high school.
Two performances will take place daily beginning at 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Schools
will have the specific times their students will be dancing so friends and family
can also come to share in the event.
