The Pirates have moved from the bottom to the top of the league as they won their fifth game in a row on July 28, 2010 in the Port Stanley Seniors Softball Club double header.

With a double in the first inning, five in the second and another pair in the third, the Pirates were leading the Blues 9-1 at the end of three innings in Game 1.

The Blues pick up another single in the bottom of the fifth but the Pirates brought another one home in the top of the sixth.

Top of the eighth with the bases loaded, Harley hit one deep into centre field for a three-base hit that brought home the three runner ahead of him. Harley made it home on a fly with the next hit and only one out, and the Pirates brought home a fifth before hitting three out. Three up, three down in the bottom of the inning for the Blues.

Top of nine and the Pirates scored another deuce. The Blues needed unlimited runs to turn this game around as they took a final turn at bat in the bottom of the ninth. The first batter made it to 1st. Second batter safe on 1st, runner out at 2nd, one down. A few more hits and the Blues brought one home, leaving a runner safe on 1st and 2nd with two down. A missed fly left the bases loaded with only two away, but on the next hit the runner was thrown out at 3rd making it game and a 17 - 3 win for the Pirates.

The Maroons, consistently at the top of the league all season, pulled off a similar lop-sided score in Game 2 against the Sailors.

By the end of four innings the Maroons were leading 7-1 having picked up a pair in the first, a single in the second, a triple in the third and another single in the fourth.

Top of five and the Sailors brought home their second run of the game but could make no headway through the next three innings. They were hitting well enough but too many were ending as fly balls or the batters getting thrown out at first base.

Bottom of the eighth and the Maroons added insult to injury as they score another three runs. Like the Blues before them, the Sailors needed unlimited runs as they stepped up to bat in the top of the ninth. Missed fly on the first hit but the Maroons threw the batter out at 1st anyway. One up, one down. Second batter out at 1st, two down. Missed fly safe on 1st, two down. Fumble left the batter safe on 1st and the runner safe on 2nd with two down. Out at 3rd for three down and game, with the Maroons taking it by a score of 10 - 2.
