Starbright Theatre in Sarnia is partnering with Children's Health Foundation to raise money for Children's Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre.

Starbright Theatre in Sarnia is fast losing its 'well-kept-secret' reputation! Its lineup of high profile professional actors from Stratford, Broadway, television and movies perform live in first class theatrical productions at the professionally renovated Imperial Theatre in Sarnia.

This summer's Red Carpet Season during July and August includes Hollywood Sings, Driving Miss Daisy (with Miss Michael Learned, a 4-time Emmy Award winner from the hit TV series The Waltons), Broadway Baritones and I Dreamed a Dream.

Children's Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre is the regional paediatric referral centre for Southwestern Ontario and offers specialized care for the most acutely ill and injured children from birth to their 18th birthday, from all across the region.

For every regular priced $38 ticket sold by telephone for any July and August performance at Starbright Theatre in Sarnia, using the special promotional code "Children's", Starbright will donate $5 to Children's Health Foundation. To order tickets call 1-877-344-7469 and quote the promotional code "Children's".

In addition, Starbright will also produce a special gala performance for Children's Health Foundation at the Grand Theatre in London in 2011.

Starbright producer, David Hogan, understands the need and importance of having this world class specialized Children's Hospital within an hour's drive of Sarnia and many other local cities and towns. "You never know when someone close to you will need this specialized care," says David, "We are fortunate to have the medical specialists, equipment and programs so close and we feel it should be financially supported to ensure it is always there for our children."

"For children and parents in Sarnia and other cities and towns throughout Southwestern Ontario, Children's is really their hospital. More than half of all visits to Children's come from outside London. Donations help provide the specialized expertise, programs and services, education and lifesaving medical equipment for children with special needs, serious and life-threatening illnesses," says Debbie Comuzzi, President and CEO, Children's Health Foundation. "Many of these costs for specialized care are over and above what government funding is able to support, so we very much appreciate the commitment and kindness of Starbright Theatre."

David Hogan's productions in Stratford, Ottawa, Toronto and Sarnia have a history of recognizing local and national charitable needs and creating opportunities for his productions and patrons to donate and give back to the communities and causes so important to future health care.
