Warm weather coupled with some gorgeous sunshine heralded the return of Summer to Port Stanley on Sunday May 3, 2015. A steady stream of cars and motorcycles made their way into town all day, each doing the obligatory downtown cruise and lakeside circle jerk by Mackies.

Young girls wearing way too little and way too tight strolled the sidewalks and beaches, bands blared from restaurant patios, and cool cars of every description - some vintage and some brand spanking new - turned more than a few heads and caused camera shutters to click furiously as photographers sought the best angles and the best light.

Lots of beach goers and a few daring souls actually ventured into the water. The parking lots and streets were busy but not jammed and traffic flowed smoothly at a tourist-viewing leisurely pace. Everwhere downtown husbands were in tow behing wives checking out the shops wares. Tourist season had returned to Port Stanley with a flourish and the town felt alive again after a dormant winter.

Sadly, one little girl who wanted an ice cream from Broderick's was disappointed as her father arrived with her at the shop after they had closed for the day. If Fred or Donna hear about this when that father-daughter duo return on another day, you can bet that little girl will get some extra special treat.

Summer has arrived and we haven't even hit the May Two Four Weekend yet!
