Elgin St Thomas Public Health is encouraging everyone to give a gift that supports the health of their friends and family members, by providing ideas and offering a few holiday giveaways to their Facebook followers.

"We want you to pick up a few gift ideas and know what we do, where we do it and how to learn more about staying healthy today and during the festive season," explains Carolyn Kuntz, Director of Health Promotion. Liking our Facebook page helps people stay connected with public health messages.

Starting December 9, 2013, anyone interested in participating should log into Facebook and "Like" www.Facebook.com/ESTPH as well as the 'Health for the Holidays' post of the day - then "Share" that post. New winners will be chosen daily and you can enter as often as you like for free.

Some of the gifts of health include "Welcome to Parenting" and "Safe WinterTravel" kits, Powerbrushes® and bus passes. The goal is to help ESTPH reach 500 "Likes" on their page and spread the word about public health. The community is encouraged to comment on valuable information or share items of interest with their friends.

News and information about the Public Health is also available at www.elginhealth.on.ca, www.twitter.com/elginhealth.
