Central Elgin, ON: Elgin County Economic Development will provide local businesses with the opportunity to learn successful methods of creating a strong brand and attracting their target market at the eighth installment of the Elgin County Conference Series.

Essentials of Marketing will be held on May 7, 2014 at the St. Thomas Golf and Country Club and will feature presentations from experts in print, TV, radio, and online marketing. Topics presented will include: communicating in a changing media landscape, partnering with not-for-profits and secrets to online success.

Keynote Speaker, Sean Irvine, is an award winning reporter, a videographer and an occasional anchor on CTV News London and Windsor. Mr. Irvine brings a wealth of experience in radio, TV and corporate communications and will speak on the topic of gaining media attention.

"Marketing is essential to the success of businesses in all sectors," said Economic Development General Manager Alan Smith. "Elgin County is committed to providing valuable training and skills development services to help local businesses grow and thrive in a competitive environment."
