Central Elgin, ON: Elgin County Library, through the support of Elgin County Council, is pleased to launch a new position for the system, Manager of Programming and Community Outreach. Ms. Sandra Poczobut started in this capacity on August 5, 2014.

The position is responsible for the strategic management of the library's community programming for delivery in the County's ten library branches, including popular computer training sessions for residents of all ages. Furthermore, it will maintain and enhance key community partnerships with numerous organizations and stakeholders as part of Elgin County Council's recently-adopted vision for library services.

Ms. Poczobut holds a Masters of Education degree from Western University, a Bachelor of Education degree from York University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta and has extensive experience with community engagement projects. She resides in Port Stanley.

According to Brian Masschaele, Elgin County Director of Community and Cultural Services, "this new position will build on the library's strong tradition of high-quality community programming and will foster partnerships that will allow the library to thrive into the future."

"I am excited to take on this new and forward-thinking opportunity," stated Ms. Poczobut.
