Central Elgin, ON: Elgin County Library, through the support of Elgin County
Council, is pleased to launch a new position for the system, Manager of Programming
and Community Outreach. Ms. Sandra Poczobut started in this capacity on August 5,
The position is responsible for the strategic management of the library's community
programming for delivery in the County's ten library branches, including popular
computer training sessions for residents of all ages. Furthermore, it will maintain
and enhance key community partnerships with numerous organizations and stakeholders
as part of Elgin County Council's recently-adopted vision for library services.
Ms. Poczobut holds a Masters of Education degree from Western University, a Bachelor
of Education degree from York University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the
University of Alberta and has extensive experience with community engagement projects.
She resides in Port Stanley.
According to Brian Masschaele, Elgin County Director of Community and Cultural Services,
"this new position will build on the library's strong tradition of high-quality
community programming and will foster partnerships that will allow the library to
thrive into the future."
