Once again we've reached that time of year for the public disclosure of remuneration, expenses and benefits paid to Central Elgin Council and municipal employees earning in excess of $100,000.00 during 2012. Combined, they account for $487,013.05 of your tax dollars spent in 2012.

CAO 10-13: Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, passed in 1996, requires all public sector employers who receive funding from the Province of Ontario to disclose the employees who receive remuneration of $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year. As the Municipality of Central Elgin receives some funding from the province, the Municipality is subject to the Act.

For 2012, the following employees of the Municipality of Central Elgin received remuneration of $100,000 or more:
