On Thursday 21 March 2013 members of the St. Thomas City Police Drug Enforcement and Criminal Investigations Unit arrested a 43 year old Central Elgin man for Indecent Acts.

This arrest was as a result of a month long undercover investigation stemming from complaints from parents and children of a man in a white panel van committing indecent acts while following school buses or pulled over to the side of the road watching young children.

Through the course of the investigation, the suspect was observed numerous times following different school buses or watching young children in both St. Thomas and Elgin County. On today's date the suspect was pulled over in front of a school in the south end of the City and was found committing an indecent act when arrested by plain clothes police officers.

Paul Baker, 43 years old from Central Elgin, is being held in custody, charged with several counts of Indecent Acts.

Baker is known to frequent throughout southwestern Ontario. Anyone with any information on Baker or the white van is asked to contact Det. Constable Kyle Johnstone at 519-631-1224 extension 136.
