I was wondering if you post ads for lost pets on your site. We had a very friendly neutered male cat appear in our backyard about 3 weeks ago and have been trying to find the owner. It seemed more like a house cat. The way he acts when a car comes by makes me think he is certainly not used to them.

He had no collar and the vets said he has no chip. They thought he was maybe about 4 years old. My son said to look up Maine Coon cats, and even though he is not as large as some, his features are similar to the ear tufts and big feet ... polydactyl. Very affectionate and well house trained. He did not look to bedraggled when he arrived here but was a bit thin ... maybe someone just dropped him off; but we are in behind the ballpark in Union and back on to a ravine, so it does not seem like a good spot for a drop off.

We put up signs around here, and some in Port, but if it was a house cat maybe not many people would have seen him and know who the owner might be, even if they saw the signs. Hopefully whoever lost hom has access to the internet and reads the news.

To claim your cat or offer hom a permanent home, please call Candy at 519-633-4152.
