March 7, 2013: The Active Elgin Coalition, in partnership with Catfish Creek, Kettle Creek and Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authorities, are pleased to announce the winners of the Active Elgin online survey. Each winner will receive a season pass to one of the three Conservation Authorities where they can enjoy the various hiking trails throughout the conservation area.

The presentation was held at the Springwater Conservation Area, by the pond across from the office parking lot, on March 7, 2013 at 9 a.m. Representatives from each of the three Conservation Authorities presented a season pass to Carla Cunha, Kathie Chute and Scott Carter.

Results from the survey indicated that 86% of respondents had a keen interest in having trail maps on the Active Elgin website and 64% were interested in having information on physical activity and health. Hiking is a great way to be physically active while spending time outdoors and close to nature and wild life. Visit the Active Elgin website at www.activeelgin.ca or the Active Elgin Guide for information on the various activities that are provided at each of the Conservation Areas.
