I had a appointment with the doctor this morning at 10:00 a.m. It wasn't a nice
day (snowing), but whoever is looking after the medical building should give it
preference over all other commitments.
We seniors need clean sidewalks to manoeuvre our walkers and wheel chairs to get
into the building. This morning as I was trying to find a way clear to get from
the parking lot behind the medical build to the ramp. The snow had not been removed
from the sidewalk to the ramp.
One month ago I also had an appointment with the doctor at 9:00 a.m. The first handicap
parking spot only had 6 feet of snow in it, the second handicap spot only had 5
feet of snow in it, and the new roof material took up most of the rest of the spots.
I did park in the 6 inches of slush next to it. From there I had to lift and carry
my walker a foot at a time to get to the ramp. If I had a hired the person to do
the job of looking after this building and they were doing this kind of a half ass
job, he would be fired.
There is no other place close enough to the building, as there is a picket fence
of no parking signs every place near, and you would have one hell of a time scaling
the snow piles. I wish that someone would get out of there little red truck and
grab a shovel and salt and clear the crosswalks and sidewalks around the medical
building.
I hope that this complaint will be attended to.
