The Port Stanley Festival Theatre relies on the generosity of Port Stanley residents to act as hosts for visiting actors and technical staff. For folks interested in acting as hosts, Port Stanley Festival Theatre offers an attractive reward package: a pair of tickets to all our summer offerings (season tickets), a tax receipt ($900 for a six week stay), plus a gift certificate for dinner at a Port Stanley restaurant of your choice.

Typically, host families provide visiting actors and staff with their own room and the guest then shares living facilities with the host family ... liken it to having an interesting room mate for a few weeks! A typical stay is from two to six weeks ... by the way, hosts are not required to provide "board", just accommodation.

The experience can be a lot of fun! These are dynamic, interesting people pursuing theatre as a career, and who knows, you may be able to say "I knew him/her when...."

If someone needs more detail or wants to consider becoming a host, please call the theatre at 519-782-3914 and ask for Melissa.
