A missing link theatre company presents Billy Bishop Goes To War February 25th - March 8th, 2014, presented in the beautifully intimate McManus Studio Theatre at The Grand.

Stratford and Shaw Festivals' Kyle Blair is featured as Billy Bishop (as well as 17 other characters) and Londoner Dean Harrison joins us as The Piano Player.

"This truly Canadian play is about Canada's greatest flying ace and introduces audiences to the life of this lively and inspiring Canadian hero. Part musical, part comedy and part drama. The actor playing WWI fighter pilot William Avery Bishop also introduces us to 17 other characters. From humble beginnings in Owen Sound to the fame and glory of being this country's "top-scoring pilot" of the First World War, this show is not to be missed!" It is important to note that this production is of particular importance as 2014 marks the 100th Anniversary of the beginning of WWI.

We've assembled an exceptional creative team. The show is stage managed by Leanne Rich, setting by Eric Bunnell, costumes by Julie McGill, lighting by Anthony Gentile, props by Bernadette Sperandeo-Gall, projections by Jenelle Carter and directed by Rick Kish.

Tickets, $20.00 - $30.00, are available by contacting the Grand Theatre's box office at 519-672-8800 or www.grandtheatre.com. Our Opening Night Celebration will take place on Friday, Feb 28th, 2014. There will be representatives from The Canadian Air Forces, a piper and a reception immediately following the show.
