A period of very cold wind chills is expected.

A cold airmass continues to linger over the area. Extreme wind chill values of -50 or colder will redevelop tonight as winds remain out of the northwest at 20 km/h, The extreme cold will moderate late Sunday morning as temperatures begin to rise.

Extreme cold puts everyone at risk.

Outdoor workers should take regularly scheduled breaks to warm up.

Extreme cold warnings are issued when very cold temperatures or wind chill creates an elevated risk to health such as frost bite and hypothermia.
